Subaru really pull out all the stops on the RA, taking 350 Spec C's  from the production line and modifying each one at the Sti workshops to Type RA standard. Probably the best Impreza ever made, tuned at the Nurburgring circuit, the Type RA produced a lap time of 7:59mins in standard form!

Have a close look at the Dyno graph for the Spec C, compare it against the Sti below, notice the 330ftLb of torque at 3800 revs while the Sti just make 200ftLb hence the huge difference in performance
